Below are the photos which I took during the solar eclipse on the 20th of March this year. These are also the first results I have of my camera – Pentax 645 which I bought earlier this year. More information about the tools I used I will put below. I photographed the phenomenon from “Business park Sofia”, situated in “Mladost 4”, Sofia, Bulgaria. The period is from 11:30 AM to 12:00 AM when the Sun was most hidden by the Moon. I wasn’t prepared with filters and a tripod so I was grateful that the weather was partly cloudy and I used the clods as a natural filter. The hard thing was to catch the moment when the clouds took the proper amount of the Sun’s light so it is rightly exposed. This is the reason why I used the cameras auto mode with fixed aperture from 22 to 32 and is shot with speed from 500 to 1000. I set the lens to maximum magnification (160mm) which is not that much in medium format but it does the job.
